The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina has published its latest estimates of inflation measures based on official consumer price index statistics and relevant weights, putting annual core inflation for the first five months of 2026 at 4.45% and annual growth in average consumer prices in the services sector at 4.86%. The release also indicates that inflation pressures in the price categories used for the core inflation calculation increased slightly in May compared with April. The estimated core inflation reading is almost identical to the bank's estimate from the June round of nowcasts, differing by 1 basis point. Both annual core inflation and services inflation for the first five months of 2026 were above the levels recorded for the whole of the previous year, which the bank said points to persistent domestic inflation pressures.
