The Bank of Korea published preliminary price indexes for July 2026, showing that the Producer Price Index fell 0.4% month on month after remaining unchanged in June. Producer prices were still 7.7% higher year on year, easing from an 8.5% increase in June. Monthly declines of 0.5% in manufacturing products, 0.6% in electric power, gas, water and waste, and 0.4% in services outweighed a 1.5% rise in agricultural, forestry and marine products. The Domestic Supply Price Index fell 1.8% on the month but rose 10.2% annually, while the Total Output Price Index declined 0.2% monthly and increased 16.6% year on year. The indexes may be revised next month.
