The Bank of the Lao reported that its Party Executive Committee convened the second plenary meeting of its fifth term to review key internal governance documents, including the committee’s division of responsibilities and a draft work programme for 2026–2030. Chaired by Bounkham Vorachit, a member of the Party Central Committee Secretariat and Secretary of the Bank of the Lao Party Executive Committee, the one-day meeting was attended by 17 committee members. The session took note of the Party Central Committee Secretariat’s decision recognising the fifth-term Party Executive Committee, considered a resolution on the allocation of responsibilities within the committee, reviewed a draft resolution setting out duties, scope of authority and working methods, and examined a draft operational plan for 2026–2030 intended to guide the committee’s work over the next five years.
