The Intergovernmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa has launched a request for expressions of interest to hire a consultancy firm to provide interpretation and translation services for activities under its African Development Bank-financed Capacity Development Project on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism in West Africa Transition States. The mandate is intended to support project conferences, meetings, training sessions, workshops and other events across 10 transition states, with services required in English, French and Portuguese. The selected firm would provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, document translation, editing and proofreading, and glossary and terminology support as requested by GIABA. The assignment is designed to cover both regional and national activities, including events that may run at the same time, and requires at least 12 interpreters or translators, with four experts for each of the three languages. GIABA said the work will run for 12 months, be delivered both in person and remotely, and may be renewed once after review. Interested firms must demonstrate that the institution or proposed interpreters hold membership in the International Association of Conference Interpreters, have at least four years of relevant experience, and can field a qualified multilingual team with project coordination capacity. Selection will follow the African Development Bank procurement framework using the Selection based on Consultants' Qualifications method, and expressions of interest are due by 10 February 2025.
