The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) jointly held an awareness seminar in Lahore on “Unlocking Economic Growth through Corporatization”, aimed at encouraging corporatization, strengthening regulatory compliance, and improving the ease of doing business. SECP Commissioners Muzzafar Ahmed Mirza and Mujtaba Ahmed Lodhi presented briefings on SECP’s work to support corporatization and business growth. In the insurance context, Lodhi highlighted initiatives including BISP micro-insurance and digital micro-policies, which he said currently protect millions, and encouraged businesses to integrate insurance into their operations. Registrar of Companies Shahzad Afzal also outlined the benefits of incorporation, alongside interactive sessions with business community members, consultants, and chamber representatives.
