The Bank of Italy published a memorandum submitted to the joint session of the Chamber of Deputies’ Justice (Committee II) and Finance (Committee VI) committees in the context of their examination of a draft legislative decree implementing parts of Directive (EU) 2024/1640 on national mechanisms to prevent the use of the financial system for money laundering or terrorist financing. The draft decree would transpose Articles 11, 12, 13 and 15 of the directive, which also amends Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and amends and repeals Directive (EU) 2015/849. The memorandum relates to Act of Government No. 385 and is published as an Italian-language annex.
