The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has launched its annual research competition, inviting researchers and university and postgraduate students in Egypt and abroad to submit original research aimed at advancing the non-banking financial sector and Egypt’s capital market. The initiative is positioned as a channel to encourage innovation and strengthen links between the academic community and regulatory and legislative stakeholders. Two award tracks are offered: the Dr Ahmed Saad Award for an applied research project proposing practical solutions for developing the Egyptian capital market, and the Dr Ashraf El‑Sharqawy Award for a comparative study of laws governing non-banking finance activities in Egypt and other countries, covering areas such as mortgage finance, financial leasing, factoring, consumer finance, and SME and microfinance. Entries may be submitted in Arabic or English and must be unpublished and not submitted to other competitions; employees of the authority and their relatives are not eligible. Prizes are set at EGP 100,000 for first place, EGP 50,000 for second, and EGP 25,000 for third. Submissions will be accepted from 21 August 2025 to 21 November 2025.
