National Bank of Moldova sanctions Depozitarul Central Unic al Valorilor Mobiliare with a warning and prescription for governance and ICT deficiencies

The National Bank of Moldova published a sanctioning decision against JSC Depozitarul Central Unic al Valorilor Mobiliare (DCU), imposing a warning and a prescription requiring remedial action following supervisory findings. The issues identified during the inspection covered governance and risk management, notification requirements to the supervisory authority, the responsibilities of the supervisory board, requirements for organising and conducting meetings of DCU’s control and consultative bodies, requirements for holding the general meeting of shareholders, and deficiencies in information and communication technology (ICT). The publication also reiterates that the National Bank of Moldova discloses sanctions after notifying the sanctioned person and will publish information on the stage and outcome of any appeal if the decision is contested.
