Latvia’s Ministry of Finance reported that ALTUM’s shareholders have approved two supervisory board appointments following an open competition. Ieva Jansone-Buka was appointed chair for a three-year term, while Uldis Upenieks was appointed as a board member. Krišjānis Znotiņš will continue serving on the board. Jansone-Buka, previously ALTUM’s interim supervisory board chair, has more than 20 years of financial-sector and corporate financing experience and served on ALTUM’s management board from 2021 to May 2025. Upenieks has extensive experience in financial services, risk management, internal controls and compliance. The selection criteria emphasized expertise in business and household support instruments, risk and internal controls, finance and audit, strategy, and investment fund management.
