The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission’s Party committee convened an expanded meeting to study Xi Jinping’s financial discourse and practical experience in Fujian and to set out steps for implementation across the regulator’s system. Chaired by Party committee secretary and director Li Yunze, the meeting framed the material as part of a continuous body of guidance on financial work and as an input into the direction of “Chinese-style” financial development. The meeting instructed officials to integrate this study with Xi Jinping’s major statements, directives and related compilations on financial work, and to translate it into action in day-to-day supervisory priorities. It also called for work to remain centred on core financial supervision tasks, with greater attention to changes in domestic and international conditions and to local circumstances, while coordinating risk prevention, stronger regulation and measures to support development, including efforts aimed at sustaining the economic recovery and promoting high-quality economic and financial development.
