The National Bank of Romania published a recap of the 12th Annual Scientific Conference of Romanian Academic Economists from Abroad, which it co-hosted in Cluj-Napoca with BabeČ™-Bolyai University and the ERMAS Association. First Deputy Governor Leonardo Badea opened the conference with remarks on the importance of economic research and central bank support for academic work relevant to policymaking. The program included plenary lectures by four international keynote speakers, two special guests and nine parallel sessions comprising 18 discussion panels. Researchers presented 76 economics papers, including work by 13 participants in a session dedicated to doctoral researchers.
