Bank of Indonesia has published its latest Residential Property Price Survey, showing limited growth in primary market residential property prices in the first quarter of 2026. The Residential Property Price Index rose 0.62% year on year, down from 0.83% in the fourth quarter of 2025, while overall sales of residential property in the primary market contracted 25.67% year on year after 7.83% growth in the previous quarter. By segment, sales of medium residential units increased, while sales of small and large residential units remained weak. Developers' internal funds remained the main source of financing for residential property development, accounting for 80.66% of total financing, and housing loans disbursed by the banking industry remained the main financing channel for home purchases, accounting for 69.87% of total purchasing schemes.
