The Central Bank of the UAE reported continued expansion in banking activity in July 2026, with gross bank assets rising 1.3% to AED 5,669.1 billion. Gross credit increased by AED 41.2 billion, or 1.5%, to AED 2,798.9 billion, while bank deposits grew 1.1% to AED 3,509.8 billion. Domestic credit rose 1.4% to AED 2,206.0 billion, driven mainly by a 2.3% increase in lending to individuals and a 1.1% rise in corporate credit. Foreign credit grew 1.8% to AED 592.9 billion. Deposit growth reflected increases in resident and nonresident balances, with nonresident deposits up 6.8%. M1, M2 and M3 rose by 0.7%, 0.8% and 0.4%, respectively, while the monetary base increased 1.2% to AED 792.7 billion.

Gross credit increased 1.5% to AED 2,798.9 billion, led by private sector lending, while deposits grew 1.1% to AED 3,509.8 billion. All three money supply aggregates and the monetary base also expanded.
