Bermuda’s Ministry of Finance, through the National Anti-Money Laundering Committee (NAMLC), has published the 2024 National Risk Assessment (NRA) on money laundering and terrorist financing (ML/TF). The findings are intended to inform national anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist financing (AML/ATF) policy and action plans and to support private-sector risk management. The 2024 NRA is Bermuda’s fourth such assessment and applies a risk-based approach that considers risks arising from new financial products, business practices, delivery mechanisms, and evolving technologies. NAMLC led the work with input from competent authorities including financial regulators, market supervisors, legislative bodies, and prosecutorial services, supported by private-sector stakeholders.
