The Rwanda Capital Markets Authority announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Nigeria to strengthen cross-border investment links and regulatory cooperation between the two markets. The agreement creates a framework for collaboration aimed at deeper regional integration, stronger supervision and broader market development. The MoU covers regulatory cooperation, market development, capacity building, investor education, information exchange, innovation, sustainable finance and cross-border investment. Formalised during a high-level study visit by the Rwanda Capital Markets Authority to Nigeria, the arrangement is intended to support peer learning and technical exchange while reinforcing investor protection, transparency and market integrity and creating pathways for issuers, investors and intermediaries to access opportunities across Rwanda and Nigeria.
