Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) has sworn in seven new civil servants for its São Paulo regional office, appointed from the CVM 2024 public competition. The ceremony follows the swearing-in of 44 new staff at the regulator’s Rio de Janeiro headquarters on 21 January 2025. The 2024 competition was held to fill 60 permanent, higher-education posts across Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, comprising 40 analyst and 20 inspector roles. Authorisation for the recruitment was granted by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in July 2023, and CVM Ordinance 138, published on 31 December 2024, listed the appointees and their allocation cities.
