The International Association of Pension Fund Supervisory Authorities (AIOS) awarded the Dominican Republic’s Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) three Good Practice certificates for pension education, recognising its ChatBot R.I.T.A., the “Aquí Sabemos de Pensiones” recognition seal and the “Conoce Tu Futuro” communications strategy at the XII AIOS Supervisors Meeting in Mexico City. The “Aquí Sabemos de Pensiones” seal is granted to institutions and companies that demonstrate a commitment to pension education for employees, with 15 national companies already recognised, reaching more than 14,000 workers and a further 44,000 through a virtual course. ChatBot R.I.T.A. is described as the first virtual assistant using generative artificial intelligence, designed to answer citizens’ questions about the Dominican Pension System (SDP). SIPEN was also recognised for “Conoce Tu Futuro”, a mass education campaign aimed at encouraging affiliates to learn about their financial future and SDP benefits, and it received the highest number of certificates overall, while Costa Rica’s SUPEN, Mexico’s CONSAR and Peru’s SBS were recognised in other categories.
