The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved a concept and roadmap for developing supervisory technology, or SupTech, from 2026 to 2031. The program will automate supervisory processes and deploy digital tools based on artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data to support more data driven supervision. The roadmap covers expanded data collection and analysis, electronic licensing, process automation, corporate data governance, staff digital skills and cyber resilience. For banks, the measures are intended to make regulatory interactions more transparent, faster and more predictable, including licensing and compliance with requirements to combat criminal financing and money laundering. Common digital standards will also support integration between supervised entities’ information systems and the National Bank’s infrastructure.
