The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo held a follow-up workshop with representatives of the financial sector under the WE Finance Code initiative, aimed at improving women entrepreneurs’ access to finance and supporting financial inclusion through concrete financial initiatives and products. Discussions focused on the project’s progress and core requirements, including collecting and reporting sex-disaggregated data, strengthening transparency, and implementing good governance standards. The workshop built on commitments and practical lessons from the regional WE Finance Code forum held in October in Herceg Novi, Montenegro, organised by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development with the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, which included around 20 participants from Kosovo alongside financial institutions from across the Western Balkans.
