De Nederlandsche Bank announced that supervision director Gita Salden took over as chair of the Financial Expertise Centre on 3 July 2026. Salden had served as vice chair until 3 July, and that role has passed to Niels Obbink, director-general of the Fiscal Information and Investigation Service. The FEC is a public partnership of authorities with supervisory, control, prosecutorial or investigative roles in the financial system, and also includes public-private cooperation with private-sector gatekeepers such as major Dutch banks and the Dutch Banking Association.
