Jamaica's Ministry of Finance and the Public Service announced the appointment of Dennis Chung as Chief Technical Director of the Financial Investigations Division (FID), effective 2 June 2025. The appointment follows the end of Selvin Hay’s contract in July 2024 and concludes the acting tenure of Ordinor Tucker on 1 June 2025. The recruitment process was managed by the Office of the Services Commissions. Chung’s mandate includes advancing the FID’s work to combat financial crimes, overseeing operational policies and systems aligned with the FID Act, and strengthening asset recovery initiatives under the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA); he will demit his current board roles at the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management, Wigton Windfarm Limited and GK Capital Management Limited before taking up the post.

Jamaica's Ministry of Finance and the Public Service appointed Dennis Chung as Chief Technical Director of the Financial Investigations Division, effective 2 June 2025. Chung will focus on combating financial crimes, overseeing policies under the FID Act, and enhancing asset recovery initiatives under the Proceeds of Crime Act. He will resign from his current board roles prior to assuming the position.
