The Hong Kong Monetary Authority published a notice from Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited warning that the website hkiclfps[.]cc is fraudulently purporting to be HKICL. The site presents itself as "Buyer Online Protection" for Faster Payment System transactions and claims to offer buyer refunds, unauthorised online transaction reporting and online transaction support. HKICL said the website has no affiliation with it or any of its business. It also said HKICL does not directly provide FPS services to individual members of the public or usually contact them proactively, and urged the public to remain alert to suspicious calls, websites and other communications, protect personal information and report suspected fraud to the Police.
