The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a presentation of its “Financial Services Strategy to Support Women’s Entrepreneurship” for commercial banks and microfinance institutions, setting out priority directions and a roadmap to expand women entrepreneurs’ access to finance. Developed in close cooperation with commercial banks under Presidential Decree PD-103 of March 17, 2025 on strengthening the family and women’s support system, the Strategy focuses on institutionalising gender policy in the banking and financial sector and enhancing women’s entrepreneurial capacity. The presentation covered practical implementation mechanisms and discussed alignment with tasks set by the President during the V open dialogue with entrepreneurs on August 20, 2025, alongside an emphasis on stronger cooperation with international financial institutions to support effective delivery.
