The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority will launch on 26 July 2026 a specialist training program to build the readiness of government-owned companies that have been temporarily listed on the Egyptian Exchange. The program is presented as the first national initiative to support the state offerings program through training and capacity building, with the aim of helping companies meet listing and offering requirements more quickly and embed governance, disclosure and transparency standards. The program is being designed and delivered by the Financial Services Institute and the Egyptian Institute of Directors, the authority’s training arms. It is intended to strengthen the capabilities of company leadership and key staff involved in listings and offerings, including board members, chief executives, finance teams, disclosure and investor relations officers, and governance and internal audit staff. Training will cover the full path from temporary listing to final listing and start of trading, with seven main modules on the capital market legal and regulatory framework, temporary and final listing mechanisms, financial and accounting readiness, governance and sustainability requirements, disclosure and prospectuses, public offering execution, and post-listing obligations. Delivery will combine short lectures, case studies and simulations, with input from the authority, the Egyptian Exchange and authority-licensed offering advisers. Scope will extend beyond the 20 companies that the State Ownership Unit has so far succeeded in temporarily listing to the rest of the government companies targeted for offerings, estimated at about 30 across petroleum, mining, pharmaceuticals, tourism, contracting, education and industry. The authority also highlighted ongoing coordination with the State Ownership Unit to help companies complete listing and offering requirements under the latest regulatory frameworks and sustain compliance after listing.
