The Central Bank of Ireland issued a warning notice about an unauthorised firm operating under the name “J.P. Morgan Asset Management (Clone)”, stating it is not authorised to provide investment services or investment business services in Ireland. The Central Bank reported that the unauthorised firm has cloned the name and details of a Central Bank-authorised firm and has sought to pass itself off as the legitimate JPMorgan Asset Management (Europe) S.A.R.L to deceive consumers. The notice lists the email addresses and phone numbers the clone firm has been using and emphasises there is no connection between the authorised firm and the unauthorised entity. The name is published under section 53 of the Central Bank (Supervision and Enforcement) Act 2013.
