Indonesia's Financial Services Authority signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education to strengthen coordination on financial education, including Islamic finance, and launched Phase E and Phase F financial literacy teaching materials. The materials embed financial literacy competencies in formal education through mathematics and economics classes and cocurricular activities, and are available on the ministry’s Rumah Pendidikan platform. The measures were presented at the culmination of the 2026 Indonesia Sharia Financial Olympiad, which promotes Islamic financial literacy and entrepreneurship among young people. The competition attracted 11,952 participants in 4,030 teams nationwide, representing increases of about 12% and 15%, respectively, from the previous year. Its programs covered knowledge of Islamic finance and the development of business ideas and innovations with economic and social applications.
