The State Bank of Vietnam has issued the Governor’s decision assigning Nguyen Xuan Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, to serve as acting Editor-in-Chief. The assignment takes effect from 20 April 2026 and will remain in place until the Editor-in-Chief position is fully staffed. The decision was announced at a conference at Banking Times attended by State Bank of Vietnam Deputy Governor Pham Thanh Ha and representatives from relevant SBV departments. In the same context, Banking Times was tasked with streamlining its organisational structure, reinforcing its role as the SBV’s communications outlet and a forum for policy and professional exchange, strengthening the speed and accuracy of policy communications, and increasing the use of information technology and digital transformation in its journalistic operations.

The State Bank of Vietnam has appointed Nguyen Xuan Hai, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Banking Times, as acting Editor-in-Chief until the position is fully staffed. Banking Times has also been tasked with streamlining its organisational structure, reinforcing its role as the central bank’s communications outlet and policy forum, and enhancing the speed, accuracy and digitalisation of its policy communications.
