China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission directs systemwide study of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building

The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission's Party committee held an expanded meeting to convey the outcomes of the national symposium on Party building work and to deploy study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Party Building across the regulator's system. Chaired by Party Secretary and head Ding Xiangqun, the meeting framed this as an important current and longer-term political task for the authority rather than announcing a new supervisory measure. The meeting called on Party organizations across the system to organize intensive study by officials and staff, with emphasis on the core content of the doctrine and the "14 Upholds." It also said the work should be integrated with study of Xi Jinping's important statements on financial work, education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, and the authority's agenda of preventing risks, strengthening supervision and promoting high-quality development. The stated aim is to use the Party-building framework to guide internal Party governance within the regulator and to advance full and strict Party self-governance to support financial supervision.
