The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) has launched the second edition of its TOP Investment Analysis book, produced through the CVM Education Advisory Committee in partnership with the Association of Analysts and Investment Professionals in Brazil (APIMEC). The updated publication is intended to complement the first edition, support educators and other “multipliers” of investment-analysis knowledge, and engage university audiences through lectures at educational institutions. The book is aimed particularly at individual and institutional investors with a long-term perspective, and adds updated coverage of the capital markets’ historical evolution, methodological developments in investment analysis during the twentieth century, and modernisation challenges in the twenty-first century. It is structured in five chapters spanning market turbulence and its role in shaping investment analysis, technical analysis, principles of modern corporate accounting, fundamental analysis, and the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into fundamental analysis; the publication is available free of charge via the Investor Portal as part of the TOP Books Series. CVM also linked the updated book to the TOP Teacher Training Programme run by its Education Advisory Committee, noting that registrations are open for the 2025 edition in in-person and hybrid formats.
