The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, held a conference focused on implementing the global Women Entrepreneurs Finance Code (WE Finance Code) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, aimed at improving women entrepreneurs’ access to finance through coordinated standards and collaboration across regulators, financial institutions and other stakeholders. The event presented findings from an analysis of the current state of financing for women entrepreneurs in Bosnia and Herzegovina and hosted a cross-sector panel discussion on actions to address the financing gap. A subsequent working session set goals, obligations and action plans for participating organisations, with agreed priorities including mechanisms to monitor and report progress, capacity building for financial institutions to provide targeted support to women entrepreneurs, and strengthened collection and use of gender-disaggregated data for policymaking. The agreed action plans and priorities are intended to support coordinated implementation of the WE Finance Code programme in the coming period.
