U.S. House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill announced the Subcommittee Vice Chairs and Republican member assignments for the Committee’s subcommittees in the 119th Congress, establishing leadership across panels covering capital markets, financial institutions, digital assets and financial technology, national security and illicit finance, oversight, and housing and insurance. The subcommittee leadership appointments name Ann Wagner as Chair of Capital Markets with Andrew Garbarino as Vice Chair; Andy Barr as Chair of Financial Institutions with Barry Loudermilk as Vice Chair; Bryan Steil as Chair of Digital Assets, Financial Technology, and Artificial Intelligence with Tom Emmer as Vice Chair; Warren Davidson as Chair of National Security, Illicit Finance, and International Financial Institutions with Zach Nunn as Vice Chair; Dan Meuser as Chair of Oversight and Investigations with Tim Moore as Vice Chair; and Mike Flood as Chair of Housing and Insurance with Monica De La Cruz as Vice Chair. The release also set out the Republican membership rosters for each subcommittee and outlined Committee priorities including regulatory framework development, consumer and investor protection, calibration of regulation for community banks, and agency accountability.
