Angola's Ministry of Finance has detailed agreements between the Development Bank of Angola (BDA) and eight commercial banks to improve monitoring of financial flows linked to BDA-funded projects. The information-sharing arrangements will enable the BDA to trace disbursed funds and verify that they are used for approved projects and purposes. The agreements cover Banco de Poupança e Crédito, Banco SOL, Banco Millennium Atlântico, Banco BIC, Banco Angolano de Investimentos, Access Bank Angola, Banco Valor and Banco de Negócios Internacional. They form part of the BDA's institutional reforms covering governance, internal controls, risk management, compliance and internal audit, and will also support anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing measures. Information sharing must comply with applicable requirements on personal data protection, bank secrecy, confidentiality and information security.
