The Central Bank of Russia has resumed publishing a statistical digest on Russia’s external sector, covering the balance of payments, international investment position and external debt of the Russian Federation. Based on detailed statistical reporting data, the digest analyses movements in key indicators and the reasons for their changes, with the stated aim of improving users’ understanding of external-sector trends and supporting analysis of factors influencing the Central Bank of Russia’s monetary policy decisions. The digest will be published quarterly, at the same time as the release of the Russian Federation’s balance of payments reporting data.
