The Rwanda Capital Markets Authority (CMA) held an awareness session at Kigali Independent University (ULK) Gisenyi campus to introduce students to investment opportunities in Rwanda’s capital market and encourage a savings culture among young people. The session formed part of CMA’s ongoing educational campaign aimed at explaining the benefits of investing in the Rwanda Stock Exchange while students are still in education. The event focused on how the capital market operates and practical ways to begin investing, including for individuals with limited means. Contributions also came from ULK Gisenyi’s academic leadership and a representative of RNIT Iterambere Fund, alongside CMA’s Strategic Advisor, who emphasised linking savings to life goals and adopting saving habits early. CMA indicated the nationwide campaign will continue and will culminate in a Capital Market Youth Forum gathering in Kigali on 20 June 2025 at the Kigali Convention Centre.
