Greece's Ministry of National Economy and Finance announced that the General Assembly of the Hellenic Development Bank of Investments (EATE), through a decision co-signed by Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis and Deputy Minister Nikos Papathanasis, elected a new Board of Directors with a four-year term. Charilaos Lampropoulos was elected Chair and Antigoni Lymperopoulou Chief Executive Officer, with Maria Ioanna Politopoulou, Charalambos Samaras and Alexandros Balafoutis appointed as members. The announcement notes that the Hellenic Development Bank and the Greek State are EATE shareholders, and that the Hellenic Development Bank was represented at the General Assembly by its Chief Executive Officer, Ismini Papakyrillou. The ministers’ statements positioned EATE’s role around channeling capital to businesses, supporting start-ups, attracting private investment, and managing public and European funds.
