The Angola Capital Markets Commission said an unapproved version of the prospectus for UNITEL S.A.'s public offer of sale of shares has been circulated in breach of applicable legal and regulatory requirements. It clarified that no version of the prospectus has been approved to date and warned investors not to consider or base investment decisions on the circulating document because it does not provide the legal and informational safeguards required by law. The commission said dissemination of the document without prior approval constitutes a very serious violation under Article 430(1)(c) and (d) of the Securities Code approved by Law No. 22/15 of Aug. 31. It also reiterated that its information dissemination system on the commission's website is the official centralized channel for disclosure relating to public offers, alongside any other channels that may be identified in a duly approved prospectus. Fact-finding steps are underway to establish the circumstances of the disclosure and ensure accountability for those involved.
