The Chile Financial Market Commission (CMF) published an investor alert stating that several entities operating online are not registered with the CMF and are not legally authorised to provide regulated financial services in Chile. The CMF identified GLENBROOK ADVISORY (www.glenbrookadvisory.com); multiple EBC FINANCIAL GROUP entities operating via www.ebc.com, www.ebcfin.co.uk and www.ebcgroup.ky; HERTON BUSINESS SCHOOL (www.herbinfosite.com/#/home); and KEYANB, KEYANB CRYPTO GROUP LTD and JAVIERA MORALES SPA operating via www.keyanb.co/#/, wap.keyanb.co and www.keyanb.com. The Commission noted that it cannot exercise its supervisory and sanctioning powers over these entities, and urged investors to verify registration status on the CMF website and check for complaints or negative feedback via internet searches. It also pointed the public to the CMF Fraud Alerts Page, which includes CMF and foreign regulator alerts, including IOSCO’s I-SCAN.
