The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission’s Secretary-General participated in a panel discussion on the role of health insurance in an ageing society and the future direction of the legal framework. The session explored the need for health insurance and health risk management as demographic ageing accelerates, and referenced ongoing work by the Office to update relevant laws so that people can access health insurance more broadly and fairly. It also served as a forum to gather feedback for developing health insurance products and policy terms better suited to older customers, with the Office indicating it will continue to take on stakeholder input to improve Thailand’s health insurance policies.
