The National Bank of Hungary is hosting a four-day seminar on innovations in electronic payments and cash management under its 2026 Technical Cooperation Programme. The event brings together 28 experts from 21 countries to examine central bank operations, supervision and regulation in these areas. The seminar covers Hungary’s instant payment system, Payments Strategy 2030 and central bank digital currency project, as well as the impact of European Union rules including the European Market Infrastructure Regulation and the revised Payment Services Directive. Participants will also review automated cash center operations, banknote processing, counterfeit management and public education.
