The Pensions Superintendency (SIPEN) participated in the Financial Summit 2025 in Santo Domingo, organised by the Santo Domingo Institute of Finance. SIPEN operated an information stand, “Know your Future”, aimed at helping attendees clarify questions about the pension system and their individual retirement situation through direct discussions with specialists from the “Tu Futuro” user service centre. The event agenda included a panel on “Challenges and opportunities of the economic environment for business planning” with Raúl Ovalle (Analytica), Bernardo Fuentes (Banco BHD) and Yamileh García (Primma Advisors). In that discussion, García highlighted the scale of pension funds in the local financial market, citing pension fund investment portfolios of USD 24bn versus USD 16bn for banks and USD 5bn for investment funds, and discussed how these players transact in foreign exchange and substitutable instruments. SIPEN’s participation was represented by Amaury Feliz Flores, Administrative and Financial Director, and Santiago Núñez, head of Operational Control.
