Albania’s Ministry of Finance published a decision by the Transparency and Temporary Wholesale and Retail Price Limitation Board setting maximum prices for diesel and gasoline. Retail prices are capped at ALL 210 per liter for diesel and ALL 190 per liter for gasoline, while wholesale caps are ALL 198 and ALL 178 per liter, respectively. The caps reflect S&P Global Platts prices in USD on FOB Mediterranean terms, applicable customs and tax charges, and maximum gross trading margins, including value added tax. The premium component is based on the General Directorate of Customs publication from the previous day. All wholesale and retail operators must comply, although they may sell below the caps. The decision took effect at 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 7, 2026, and remains in force until further notice following the board’s next meeting.
