The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) has approved TradeGo Pte. Ltd. as a Qualified vLEI Issuer (QVI), allowing it to issue cryptographically verifiable organizational identities within the verifiable Legal Entity Identifier (vLEI) ecosystem. TradeGo will embed vLEI credentials into its blockchain-based services for cross-border commodity trading, including electronic bills of lading, digital payments and electronic contracts. GLEIF linked the approval to supporting fraud reduction and compliance efficiency, and to alignment with trade digitalisation laws in Singapore and the UK; the release also cited early cost and efficiency gains associated with TradeGo’s approach under its GIFTS initiative.
