The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has moved from the AI Challenge (Gov Challenge: AI Connect) hackathon stage to converting selected ideas into operational projects, and signed memorandums of cooperation with the startups Global Move and Balcom Soft. The initiative is framed as support for banking sector digitalisation, automation of internal processes, and improved customer service, and is being implemented in accordance with Presidential Decree No. UP-189. The first selected solution focuses on developing and integrating a national Uzbek-language Speech-to-Text model designed to accurately recognise different dialects and banking terminology.
