The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, co-chairing with the Secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, held an online meeting of the working group on “Financial market development and credit accessibility” to review delivery against its 2025 Action Plan and to discuss related implementation issues. Participants were briefed on work completed and underway in the first half of 2025, including measures on awareness-raising and financing for small and medium-sized enterprises, development of banking, insurance and capital markets, and steps to increase financial literacy and inclusion. The group also discussed a report on the implementation status of decisions adopted at its 22 May 2025 meeting, with participation from relevant ministries, public agencies, the Azerbaijan Credit Bureau, and banking, insurance and microfinance associations alongside private-sector members.
