The State Bank of Vietnam has issued a banking-sector implementation plan for the Central Steering Committee’s Plan 01 on developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, centred on deploying the “Digital Literacy Movement” across the sector. The plan calls for full execution of the banking-sector objectives, tasks and solutions set out in Plan 01, and assigns specific responsibilities to State Bank of Vietnam units, the Banking Academy, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Banking, Vietnam Deposit Insurance, State Bank of Vietnam-managed enterprises, credit institutions and foreign bank branches. Implementation is intended to build foundational knowledge of digital transformation and practical digital skills for staff to use digital platforms, tools and services in day-to-day duties, while also strengthening students’ digital capabilities and digital safety skills for online interaction.
