The National Bank of Moldova announced it will preside over the Banking Supervisors from Central and South Eastern Europe (BSCEE), following a decision taken at the group’s 37th annual members’ conference in Ljubljana. Vice Governor Constantin Șchendra will serve as BSCEE president from 16 December 2025 to 15 December 2026. BSCEE is a network founded in 1991 that brings together banking supervisory authorities from 24 countries to cooperate and exchange experience. The conference programme covered cyber risk, banks’ digitalisation and the use of artificial intelligence, and the parallel operation of microprudential and macroprudential requirements; the National Bank of Moldova also indicated it is willing to host the BSCEE annual conference in 2026.
