The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo announced that a high-level delegation led by Governor Ahmet Ismaili is participating in the International Monetary Fund and World Bank 2026 Spring Meetings in Washington, DC, with discussions focused on recent macroeconomic and financial developments, the economic outlook amid current global conditions, and implications for financial stability and policymaking. During the 13 to 18 April meetings, the delegation will meet senior IMF and World Bank officials, and Governor Ismaili will present key developments in Kosovo’s financial sector, the central bank’s institutional priorities, progress in implementing reforms, outcomes from professional technical assistance programmes, and planned projects aligned with the institution’s strategic objectives. The visit also includes bilateral meetings with the US Treasury, the International Finance Corporation, and partner central banks and financial institutions to strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest.
