The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission has launched Phase 2 of its 2025 “Public Empowerment through Capital Market Knowledge Initiative” under the Ministry of Finance Financial Literacy Development Action Plan 2022–2027, inviting capital market and digital asset operators, as well as relevant financial and investment associations and clubs, to collaborate on public financial and investment education. Participants must file an expression of intention by 30 May 2025 and submit a detailed education promotion plan; those meeting the SEC’s conditions and evaluation criteria will receive an honorary plaque and a special logo for use in promoting education activities or other public relations materials. The initiative, first launched in 2023, is in its third year and has involved 43 organizations to date. In 2024, 22 organizations participated and delivered financial and investment knowledge to the Thai public over 12 million times, with activity reports submitted to the SEC under a pre-set plan and publicised on the SEC website. For 2025, plaques are available in five categories: Public Favorite Award, Sustainability Award, Creativity Award, plus two newly added categories, the Financial Empowerment Award (for business operators cumulatively receiving all three award categories during 2024–2027) and the Excellence Synergy Award (for financial and investment associations and clubs). Detailed education promotion plans must be submitted via an online form by 15 August 2025 for SEC consideration.
