The Securities and Exchange Commission Ghana has published the full list of 20 entities admitted to pilot virtual asset services under its regulatory sandbox, which began in March 2026. The update follows its earlier announcement that entities had been admitted to the sandbox. Approved activities include tokenization of gold, securities, Treasury bills, bonds and trade finance, as well as virtual asset brokerage, exchanges and trading platforms. The sandbox also covers a commodities-focused exchange and gold custody. Data from the pilots will support the validation and finalization of activity-specific licensing and registration rules under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2025.
