The Central Bank of Poland has released its monthly data on Poland’s official reserve assets, reporting holdings of EUR 214.2bn at end-December 2024, equivalent to USD 223.2bn. Reserve assets rose by EUR 7.3bn from end-November 2024 in euro terms and by USD 4.8bn in US dollar terms. The central bank reiterated that reserve management prioritises safety and liquidity while seeking to maximise returns, with most reserves invested in Treasury securities and securities issued by international institutions and government agencies, and the remainder mainly in monetary gold and term deposits at highly rated banks.
